The magic of those first moments

There are days that give off a special energy right from the first minutes. Last Saturday, I had the immense privilege of accompanying Sirada and Damien for their big day. As a wedding photographer in Savoie, it is my role to capture this magic. The day beautifully started at the Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré town hall,between bursts of laughter and tears of joy.

Grandiose portraits facing the Belledonne massif

For their couple photos, we isolated ourselves in a field offering a superb view of the Belledonne massif still covered in snow. Facing the vastness of this alpine landscape, my goal was to sublimate the bride and groom. By alternating the softness of natural light and a professional outdoor lighting, I was able to create vibrant portraits, worthy of a magazine. It is this attention to light that gives a cinematic and timeless dimension to your photo reportage..

An elegant cocktail in a private residence

The cocktail reception then took place, still in Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré, in the privileged setting of a very lovely residence. The guests were able to enjoy a magnificent wooded ground,offering an atmosphere of absolute relaxation and conviviality. It was at this precise moment that the bride's family wore superb traditional Thai outfits,bringing a touch of elegance and vibrant colors to the event.

An explosion of joy on the dance floor at the Winfield

After the emotion of the ceremonies and the sweetness of the cocktail, the evening continued in an absolutely incredible atmosphere at the Winfield, in Jacob-Bellecombette.The bride and groom and their guests set the dance floor on fire! It was a real joy to document this explosion of joy and to end the day surrounded by so much good mood.

There are moments in a Provence photographer's life that remind you of the deep meaning of this profession. What an immense privilege to reunite with Maecha and Eliot!

fter having the honor of immortalizing their beautiful wedding in 2025,, it was with great emotion that I joined them this Tuesday late afternoon. The goal? To capture the next big step in their lives: as they await the arrival of their first child maternity session.. This is where my true approach lies: becoming the trusted photographer who documents your family legacy, year after year.

Taming the light at the foot of the mountain

For this session, we headed to the majestic Sainte-Victoire mountain,near the famous "magic tree" of Saint-Antonin-sur-Bayon.An exceptional natural setting for a moment that is just as special.

We started the session under a still very strong light.Far from ideal, this harsh light is unforgiving and requires real technique to avoid unflattering shadows. The challenge was to tame it to sculpt the faces and highlight the maternity curves with elegance. Then, as the sun began to set and soften, I deployed my studio flashes..

The idea? To create sophisticated and contrasted moods, for a resolutely artistic result..

An unexpected touch from the sky 

If the setting was already grandiose, the session took a totally unexpected turn.

TheDragon 13 helicopter of the Civil Security invited itself into our scenery. The crew performed several landings just a few dozen meters from our photo set. One of the crew members, literally leaning out of the helicopter in flight through the wide-open door, even took the time to wave at us!

Faced with this surreal situation, we found it so funny that we decided to integrate itdirectly into the shoot! The opportunity was just too good. My approach is also this: offering you an elegant artistic direction for your portraits, while keeping the reactivity needed to capture these unique, funny, and spontaneous moments that will make your album truly different from the others.

The outdoors is our best ally for this, whatever the season (under the snow in Savoy or in the scrubland of Provence).

If your kids need to run, we have a race. If they want to jump in puddles or throw fallen leaves, we go for it. If they are shy and want to hide in your arms, we capture that hug.

A blurry photo because a child is bursting with laughter running toward you will always have more sentimental value than a sharp photo where they are smiling stiffly because they were forced to.

More Than a Photographer, a Co-Pilot

There are weddings where you get to know the couple on the big day, hour by hour. And there are other weddings where the shared history goes way back.

For a little backstory, before dedicating myself fully to wedding photography, I spent nearly 10 years on rally roads. I competed in about 80 races, sometimes with the notebook, sometimes with the steering wheel in hand. On this specific day, the groom, Vincent, was no stranger to me: he was one of my pilots.

We shared the cramped cockpit of a race car, the adrenaline of the clock, and blind trust in each other. I particularly remember the 2019 Rallye Ronde de la Durance.With our "Grandma" (a resilient old BMW), we snatched a superb 12th place overall, holding our own against much more modern and powerful cars.

This bond forged in effort doesn't fade. So, when Vincent asked me to be the visual witness of his union with Elsa, I couldn't refuse. I swapped the notebook for the camera, but the mission remains the same: miss none of the key moments.

A Mythical Car for a Unique Day

The ultimate touch of the day? The wedding car was none other than that famous BMW 325i FA8..

The very same one that carried us on the asphalt and through special stages was transformed, for the occasion, into a bridal carriage. Seeing this race car, used to mud, dust, and tight lines, decorated with delicate flowers in the middle of Provence landscapes, was a strong symbol. It was the perfect bridge between our sporting past and this new chapter of life.

Sault: Wedding at the Foot of Mont Ventoux

The wedding began at the Town Hall of Sault, an iconic village in the Vaucluse perched at 766 meters, before heading to the tiny church of Saint-Jean for the religious ceremony.

We were there, at the foot of the Giant of Provence (Mont Ventoux), in a magnificent setting that commands humility. What I love about this type of wedding is the lack of artifice. Elsa and Vincent wanted a day that resembled them: simple, convivial, and deeply human. Elsa wore a fluid, light dress with natural elegance that perfectly suited this Provencal summer day and the authenticity of the venue.

Golden Hour and Group Photos in the Lavender Fields

After the ceremony, we headed to GAEC Champlong for the cocktail. We are in the land of "blue gold." Even though the harvest had passed, the late-day light on the Sault plateau always offers a unique spectacle, with vast expanses stretching toward the horizon.

It is an ideal setting, not only for the cocktail hour but also for taking group photos.Often dreaded for being too "stiff," here they take on another dimension. The golden light softens faces, and the open space allows everyone to feel at ease.

As a photographer, my challenge is to capture this conviviality. Guests are relaxed, children run between the rows, and glasses clink facing the fields. This is documentary reporting: catching stolen bursts of laughter without interfering, while ensuring impeccable family portraits.

Why the "Heritage" Package (12h) is Essential for the Party

The reception was then held at Domaine La Tour in Saint-Jean-de-Sault. And that's where the magic really happens for the photographer... and for your memories.

f I had left after the cocktail or the start of the meal, I would have told the story of a beautiful day, but I would have missed the soul of the evening. With my "Héritage" (Heritage) package (which includes 12h of coverage), I am there to capture the complete story, right into the night.

This is the moment when the pressure completely drops. It's when personalities reveal themselves on the dancefloor and energy explodes. Photographing a wedding party requires specific technical skill: mastering flash to freeze movement and your memories so they become timeless, without "killing" the ambient lighting of the room.

My party photos are vibrant. They transcribe the music, the heat, the raw joy. This is the emotional heritage, complete and intense, that I want to deliver in your album.

There are weddings you prepare for a year in advance, and others where you have to be operational in an hour. This reportage at Château La Beaumetanenear La Fare-les-Oliviers, falls into the second category.

Called at the last minute to fill in for my colleague Olivier Malcor who was unfortunately ill, I arrived at 7 PM, just as the sun was starting to set. No preparations, no couple session at sunset... just the immediacy of the event. My goal was simple: blend into the background, reassure the couple with my presence, and deliver a gallery worthy of their elegance, regardless of the conditions.

Cocktail Atmosphere: Seizing the Moment

When you arrive at a wedding already in progress, there is no observation time. You have to capture the atmosphere immediately. The setting of Château La Beaumetane offers an incredible atmosphere, even at the end of the day. I therefore concentrated my work on what matters most: the interactions and the details that make the reception so "chic".

The Emotion of the Speeches: Being There, Discreetly

Night fell quickly that evening. For a photographer, this is a pivotal moment: when the sun disappears, using a flash becomes almost essential. The challenge then is to master the light to preserve the warm atmosphere of the dinner without washing it out with harsh lighting.

During dinner, the speeches were particularly poignant. My role at that moment is to become invisible. I work from the sidelines, attentive to the slightest change of expression on the faces of the bride and groom or their parents. That is often where the most powerful images are hiding.

Time to Party!

Once the emotion has passed, the pressure drops and gives way to celebration. This is a part of the reportage that I particularly enjoy. I don't stay in my corner: I go look for the energy right on the dance floor.

Whether it’s for the champagne tower or the wild moments between friends dancing, I ensure that every burst of laughter is immortalized. That is also what a wedding memory is about: pure joy and letting go.
